I decided to makeover the HEMNES chest because I am redecorating my bedroom.
And I wanted to have only one style in the bedroom. So I took my old dresser and modified it to suit the style of my other furniture (bed, wardrobe etc.)
IKEA items used:

Materials and tools
- Brushed spruce boards
- Vinyl glue and a brush
- Drill
- Screws and screwdriver
- Miter saw
- Jigsaw
- Orbital sander
- Measuring tape
- Pencil
- Ruler
What I did was measure the chest and layout the pieces of boards to cover the entire HEMNES chest. Then I cut the spruce boards to size.

I used a bit of vinyl glue to set them in place. Then I screwed the boards in, over the HEMNES chest.
All done! It looks entirely different and matches my room.
How long did it take?
I did it in my free time and it took a few days.
What was the hardest part about this hack?
The hardest for this hack was to cut the wood straight.
Looking back, would you have done it differently?
If I would do another chest makeover like this, probably I would put the screws in the opposite direction, from the inside, for a better look.
